Charles Faris, President and Chief Executive Officer
Charles Faris serves as Spectrum's President and Chief Executive Officer. With more than 35 years of experience in the field of addiction treatment, Mr. Faris is regarded as one of the most authoritative experts in the administration of behavioral health care programming. His appointments have included Chairman of the Central Massachusetts Substance Abuse Association and President of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association of Massachusetts. He is also the recipient of the National Nyswander Dole Award for Outstanding Contribution to Methadone Treatment, the Francis O'Brien Award for Leadership in the Field of Substance Abuse, the Nathaniel Hakim Askia Award for Lifetime Work in Addictions, and the Worcester Business Journal's 2012 Nonprofit Business Leader of the Year.
Peter Paolantonio, Chief Clinical Officer
Peter Paolantonio, MSSW, LMHC, LADC, CADAC II, provides executive leadership to all of Spectrum's clinical services. For more than 30 years, Mr. Paolantonio has developed, implemented and managed a variety of programs across Spectrum's multi-modality service continuum. In consultation with leading researchers, he established Spectrum's cognitive behavioral treatment approach for offender addicts, which includes specialized programming for minorities, pregnant addicts and dually diagnosed individuals. Mr. Paolantonio is a nationally recognized lecturer and consultant, and has provided expert testimony for both state and federal judicial entities.
Janet Langlois, Chief Financial Officer
Janet Langlois serves as Spectrum's Chief Financial Officer. Her responsibilities include oversight of Spectrum's accounting department, information technology services and telecommunications. Ms. Langlois joined Spectrum in 2000. She brings twenty years of experience in all areas of financial operations. Previously, Ms. Langlois served as a Controller within the northeast region of HealthSouth Corporation for six years. Ms. Langlois holds a Bachelor of Science in Management.
Christopher Petrozzi, Executive Vice President of Correctional Services
Christopher Petrozzi, M.A., brings over twenty-one years of progressive treatment and criminal justice experience in both the public and private sectors. As Executive Vice President of Correctional Services, Mr. Petrozzi is responsible for executive oversight of Spectrum's nationwide correctional treatment programs. Prior to joining Spectrum, Mr. Petrozzi worked for a large for-profit correctional treatment company with national oversight responsibilities. Previously, he was employed for nearly eleven years with the Colorado Department of Corrections in various management and administrative positions. In addition, he has spearheaded major criminal justice and treatment reforms and has served as a consultant to the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the National Institute of Corrections. Mr. Petrozzi has a Master's degree in Community Psychology.
Susan Moitozo, Vice President of Clinical Operations
Susan Moitozo, M.Ed., LADC, has twenty years of experience in the field of substance abuse and mental health treatment. Ms. Moitozo previously served as the State Director for Spectrum's correctional treatment programs in Massachusetts for seven years. Her current role involves program planning, staff training and curriculum development. Her expertise in organizational leadership, program design and gender responsive, trauma informed care are devoted to helping staff at all levels of the organization achieve the highest level of quality and effectiveness in service delivery. Ms. Moitozo chairs Spectrum's Women's Services Committee and serves on the Board of the Correctional Association of Massachusetts. She is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor and holds a Master of Education degree.
Stacy Flanagan, Vice President of Human Resources
Stacy Flanagan joined Spectrum in 2002. As Vice President of Human Resources, Ms. Flanagan oversees employee relations, recruitment, retention, compensation, and training for Spectrum. She also ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations. Ms. Flanagan brings more than twenty years of experience in human resources management in the healthcare field. She previously served as the Director of Human Resources for CareMatrix Corporation where she managed all human resource functions for 3,600 employees. Ms. Flanagan has a Bachelor's degree in Communications with a concentration in Health Administration.
Cindy Buraczynski, Vice President of Planning & Development
As Vice President of Planning & Development, Cindy Buraczynski, M.S. is responsible for business development, marketing communications and fundraising. Ms. Buraczynski has more than twenty years of experience in business development, marketing and communications in the behavioral health field. Since Ms. Buraczynski joined the organization in 2002, Spectrum has opened programs in seven new states. Previously, she was the Director of Communications for The Mentor Network, a national human service provider. Ms. Buraczynski holds a Master's degree in Health Services Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Services.
Romas Buivydas, Vice President of Clinical Development
Romas Buivydas, Ph.D., LMHC, has more than twenty years of experience in the behavioral health field. His expertise spans program development and implementation, training, quality assurance, risk management, compliance and data management. As Vice President of Clinical Development, Dr. Buivydas provides training and consultation in clinical methods and instructional techniques to program staff throughout the organization. Previously, Dr. Buivydas provided consultation to numerous behavioral health organizations and was formerly the Director of Evaluation at a hospital-based psychiatric/addiction department for six years. He is also a national presenter/trainer at conferences/symposia across the country.
