An Opening Reception for the Worcester Windows: A Community Art Gallery Program will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the Worcester Chamber of Commerce on September 9, 2005. Many Worcester area cultural institutions and local artists have installed special exhibits in storefront locations throughout the Downtown as part of the Worcester Windows Program. Spectrum is exhibiting a collection of individually designed and hand-painted rocking chairs. An auction of the chairs is planned for November with proceeds benefiting Spectrum's Women and Children's Center.

Spectrum's “Rocking Chairs of Worcester” exhibit is located in the windows of the Winsor Building at the corner of Front and Commercial Streets. Preservation Worcester will lead walking tours of the area following the Opening Reception. Tours will leave the Worcester Chamber of Commerce at 339 Main Street at 5:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
