Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. was awarded three contracts by the Massachusetts Department of Correction to deliver substance abuse and recidivism reduction treatment throughout the state’s correctional system.

Spectrum proposed a comprehensive, coordinated and cost-effective delivery system encompassing residential, non-residential and aftercare treatment services for male and female inmates. Spectrum’s first contract with the Massachusetts Department of Correction was awarded in 1993.

“This year’s procurement was very competitive,” said Charles Faris, President and CEO. “The sophistication of our services, program materials and demonstrated outcomes spoke volumes to Spectrum’s continuously evolving capabilities. Additionally, Spectrum has developed a strong partnership with the DOC over the past fourteen years based on mutual respect, good customer service and common goals."

Based in Worcester, Massachusetts, Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit substance abuse and mental health treatment provider. In addition to Massachusetts, Spectrum operates programs in Rhode Island, Georgia, Arizona, Maine and Tennessee – serving more than 18,000 adults and at-risk youth each year.
