Charles Faris serves as Spectrum's President and Chief Executive
Officer. With more than 30 years of experience in the field of addiction
treatment, Mr. Faris is regarded as one of the most authoritative
experts in the administration of behavioral health care programming.
His appointments have included Chairman of the Central Massachusetts
Substance Abuse Association and President of the Alcohol and Drug
Abuse Association of Massachusetts. He is also the 1991 recipient
of the National Nyswander Dole Award for Outstanding Contribution
to Methadone Treatment and the Francis O'Brien Award for Leadership
in the Field of Substance Abuse. Mr. Faris is joined by a strong
and experienced leadership team:
Laura Ames brings twenty years of health care experience to
her role as Spectrum's Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Ames began her
career in nursing before assuming a number of senior positions in
acute rehabilitation and long-term care, eventually becoming the
Senior Vice President of Operations at Olympus Healthcare Group.
Prior to joining Spectrum, Ms. Ames served as Chief Operating Officer
for iCare Management where she oversaw the operation of nine skilled
nursing facilities, totaling $100 million. Ms. Ames holds a Master
of Science in Nursing Administration and a Master of Business Administration.
Peter Paolantonio, MSSW, LMHC, LADC, CADAC II, serves as the
Vice President for Clinical Services, providing executive leadership
to all of Spectrum's clinical services. For more than 25 years,
Mr. Paolantonio has developed, implemented and managed a variety
of programs across Spectrum's multi-modality service continuum.
In consultation with leading researchers, he established Spectrum's
cognitive behavioral treatment approach for offender addicts, which
includes specialized programming for minorities, pregnant addicts
and dually diagnosed individuals. Mr. Paolantonio is a nationally
recognized lecturer and consultant, and has provided expert testimony
for both state and federal judicial entities.
Janet Langlois serves as Spectrum's Vice President of Finance.
Her responsibilities include oversight of Spectrum's accounting
department, information technology services and telecommunications.
Ms. Langlois joined Spectrum in 2000. She brings twenty years of
experience in all areas of financial operations. Previously, Ms.
Langlois served as a Controller within the northeast region of HealthSouth
Corporation for six years. Ms. Langlois holds a Bachelor of Science
in Management.
Susan Moitozo, Spectrums Associate Vice President of Clinical
Services, has nearly twenty years of experience in the field of
substance abuse and mental health treatment. Ms. Moitozo previously
served as the State Director for Spectrums correctional treatment
programs in Massachusetts for seven years. Her current role involves
program planning, staff training and curriculum development, including
gender-specific programming. Ms. Moitozo is a Licensed Alcohol and
Drug Abuse Counselor and holds a Master of Education degree.
Spectrum's senior leadership team is further complemented
by a group of highly experienced and dedicated state directors,
program managers and
corporate staff.
