Susan Moitozo, vice president of clinical operations for Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., recently received the Award for Excellence in Best Practices from the Association for Behavioral Healthcare (ABH).

As vice president for clinical operations, Ms. Moitozo ensures that Spectrum is guided by expert sources such as the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the Center for Co-occurring Excellence, as well as research from the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices.

Ms. Moitozo works closely with Spectrum’s clinical development team including Mr. Paolantonio, Romas Buivydas, Ph.D., vice president of clinical development, the organization’s medical directors and other professionals in designing new services based on evidence-based practices and current research in the behavioral health field.

The ABH, a statewide organization representing over 80 community-based behavioral healthcare provider organizations, works to advance, promote and preserve mental health and addiction services for individuals and families.
