Over 135 golfers teed off at Kettle Brook Golf Course in Paxton, Massachusetts to benefit the Spectrum Charitable Foundation on Monday, October 3, 2005. The charity tournament raised over $40,000 to benefit Spectrum's Women and Children’s Center, located in Westborough, Massachusetts.

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is in the process of opening a new substance abuse treatment program for adolescent girls in Phoenix, Arizona. The twenty-four bed program will provide four months of residential treatment followed by eight months of individualized aftercare programming in the community.

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. was recently awarded a new contract by the Maine Department of Corrections to provide case management services at the Central Maine Pre-Release Center in Hallowell. Under the contract, Spectrum’s case manager will be responsible for helping inmates prepare for release and transition back into the community.

An Opening Reception for the Worcester Windows: A Community Art Gallery Program will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the Worcester Chamber of Commerce on September 9, 2005. Many Worcester area cultural institutions and local artists have installed special exhibits in storefront locations throughout the Downtown as part of the Worcester Windows Program. Spectrum is exhibiting a collection of individually designed and hand-painted rocking chairs. An auction of the chairs is planned for November with proceeds benefiting Spectrum's Women and Children's Center.

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., New England’s leading substance abuse treatment provider, has appointed Laura A. Ames as the organization’s Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Ames has responsibility for oversight of the company’s multi-site operations, including inpatient, residential and outpatient behavioral health services and continuum of juvenile treatment programs.
