Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. was selected from amongst a field of bidders to operate a comprehensive substance abuse treatment program for adolescent boys in Phoenix, Arizona.  The court-ordered program consists of four months of residential treatment in a newly constructed, state-of-the-art facility adjacent to the Maricopa County Juvenile Probation Department.  After completing the residential portion of the program, youth will receive aftercare monitoring and individualized counseling for another eight months.

"This award demonstrates Spectrum’s ability to acquire new contracts on a national level," said Spectrum President and CEO Charles Faris. "We’re very excited about working with the Maricopa County Juvenile Probation Department to implement the program."

Based in Worcester, Massachusetts, Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit provider of substance abuse treatment and mental health services.   In addition to Arizona, Spectrum currently operates programs in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Georgia and Hawaii – serving more than 18,000 adults and at-risk youth each year.
